Text Box: Operating Certificate.
Text Box: To all members: The Committee have approved the design of a certificate which is available to anyone who has operated GB2RN from the Bridge Wireless Office of HMS Belfast.
Text Box: Any member interested in obtaining one of these certificates, which are printed on parchment paper, is required to notify me of the date they were operating GB2RN.  I will then check the Log Book and copy out the details of a QSO they made.  There is no need to try and remember the actual QSO - just,  for example,  "Easter Activity Week 2007" and that will be sufficient to narrow down the search.
Text Box: The cost to UK members is £2.50.   Will Overseas members please add one IRC to cover the extra postage.

On the afternoon of Thursday 22nd May, after a service in the Ship’s Chapel the ashes of our shipmate Roger G0HNU were scattered in the Thames from HMS Belfast.

Refreshments were served in the Wardroom Ante-Room afterwards. This sad occasion was attended by committee members and close family members only. Our thanks to Father Gregory Moore who attended for the service and the scattering of the ashes.

BWO update…..

The computer is now operational with a flat screen monitor, this is on the section where the FT990 is. The Broadband connection

will be connected soon, this has all been agreed with the ship’s management. The PC can run Winlog32 for those who wish to log using this, otherwise the paper log books are still in use. It looks like we shall soon be obtaining another FT990, this is a donation from a silent key. The shack now has a lot of equipment, it just needs operators!
