On the afternoon of Thursday 22nd May, after a service in the Ship’s Chapel the ashes of our shipmate Roger G0HNU were scattered in the Thames from HMS Belfast. Refreshments were served in the Wardroom Ante-Room afterwards. This sad occasion was attended by committee members and close family members only. BWO update….. The computer is now operational with a flat screen monitor, this is on the section where the FT990 is. The Broadband connection will be connected soon, this has all been agreed with the ship’s management. The PC can run Winlog32 for those who wish to log using this, otherwise the paper log books are still in use. It looks like we shall soon be obtaining another FT990, this is a donation from a silent key. The shack now has a lot of equipment, it just needs operators! |
